MachineSelect Model

MachineSelect products use an Expert System that contains a model of the manufacturing process.

Machine (M) specific details are entered into the expert system along with details of jobs (J) your company typically processes.  From this Job/Machine information, the expert system then determines for each job:

• Which machines could process the job

• Other criteria, e.g. duration and cost on each viable machine

The following example shows how MachineSelect is applied to the selection of laser cutting machines.
