Gary J. Bishop
Vice-President

Gary Bishop brings to Jambalaya 10 years of experience in the development of successful and award-winning high technology products in both the laser and software industries. Dr.Bishop began his career in 1985 as an Optical Engineer with British Aerospace a leading systems, defense and aerospace company. From 1986 to 1992 with Lumonics, a developer of laser-based systems and components, Dr. Bishop held several product development/management positions. Dr. Bishop joined AutoSkill International (an educational software company) in 1993 as Director of Product Development. He was responsible for the development of the company's first Windows-based product and on-going development of existing DOS, Macintosh and UNIX products. Before co-founding Jambalaya, Dr. Bishop was the Director for Eastern Ontario of the Information Technology Research Centre. Since 1996, he also operated as an independent business consultant to emerging technology companies.

Dr. Bishop holds B.Sc. & Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics from the University of Hull (U.K.) and a M.Sc. in Lasers and their Applications from the University of Essex (U.K.).
